The Three Altos - A Viola Spectacular!

New Zealand Symphony Orchestra

An evening of sublime music featuring three top international soloists with the NZSO. Russian-Italian violist extraordinaire, Anna Serova, will perform the NZ premiere of Boris Pigovat's achingly beautiful "Poem of Dawn" and the world premiere of Roberto Molinelli's extraordinary "Lady Walton's Garden", rich with Argentinean flavour, rhythms and excitement - don't be surprised if it breaks into some tango dancing - anything is possible! Roger Myers (USA) will feature in Schumann's enchanting "Fairy Tale Pictures" and Roger Benedict (Australia) will feature in Walton’s Viola Concerto. This promises to be a New Zealand cultural highlight of the year.

Michael Fowler Centre 7.30pm, September 4, 2017.
