Hi there everyone. Thought I might share another short 'how-to' video clip. Sadly the post lamps at the entrance to our property have been getting vandalised - a pity as we only want the place to look nice and it adds a bit of security. Anyway I've developed some new style post lamps which are indestructible. OK, I'll admit they're only translucent rubber balls from the warehouse but they seem to do the job. Now if they're punched, karate-kicked, or whatever, they simply bounce back to life. :) Not sure if anyone else out there is having these issues, but if so, perhaps this little presentation might be useful. Enjoy...or...laugh! Cheers...

ArrowFM and Masterton Foodbank/Wai Waste are set to be rehoused by Masterton Trust Lands Trust (MTLT) in the community-owned Radio House building in Church Street.
The two organisations will move out of the Empire Building at the northern end of Queen Street which was sold last month and will be demolished to make way for a new Big Save store.
MTLT chairperson, Leanne Southey, said the trust had been able to move quickly to come up with a mutually-beneficial arrangement for ArrowFM, the Foodbank and the trust.
“As soon as we showed them through Radio House it became clear that there were some real benefits in working together to find a new arrangement that works for all parties.”
“We have been able to provide a lease that is affordable to community organisations by including an element of concessional rental, similar to that provided by the trust to a number of other community organisations.”
The silver lining for ArrowFM is the opportunity to use the new space to co-locate with Wairarapa TV and create a new community media hub in the town centre.
Custom-built studio facilities will be available to Arrow FM in the area of Radio House formerly tenanted by NZME which included its Classic Hits station.
“We’re really excited by the opportunities that have arisen from what was an adverse turn of events earlier this month,” ArrowFM general manager Michael Wilson said.
“This arrangement allows us to move into an affordable, well-appointed studio with no loss of service or major set-up costs. It’s also a great opportunity to extend our close partnership with Wairarapa Television by co-locating with them and having Destination Wairarapa as our neighbour is an excellent match.”
Wilson said weekly recording clinics would be held on the ground floor of Radio House as part of a plan to improve accessibility and visibility of the station’s disabled programme makers. “Our intention is to generate much more input from the disability community, by providing a dynamic environment for programme creation.”
Masterton Foodbank Coordinator, Lyn Tankersley, said she was delighted that the community had rallied around to support the move. “We’ve had so many offers of help and the transition should be quite simple as we just moving around the corner.
“The Foodbank is grateful for the involvement and support of its landlord Garry Daniell over the past nine years,” Lyn Tankersley said.

I have to say the pizza was the best homemade pizza I have ever had. It turned out great and there was plenty for me and the kids with lunch leftovers for the next day. My wife is a vegetarian so she stuck with the veges. My son baked the giant cookie and we had that hot with boysenberry ice cream- delicious!
Our overall impression of My Food Bag was that it was awesome. It's a fantastic idea and well executed. Like most people, we have to make the difficult decision on whether the per meal cost is within our budget. It is certainly something we would take up again, but whether we would be prepared to pay $169.99 every week is another matter (My Family Bag). There are a whole range of packages so we might try others as well. Last week was a free trial supplied to us by My Food Bag and later this week we will be announcing the winner of a week's free trial for one of our Neighbourly readers.

Pet cats who have a home, food, warmth, love DON'T JUST DISAPPEAR. Personally I've had 5 cats vanish in the time I've been living here, aswel as a week stay at vets 4 one that returned home so sick, he's lucky 2still b alive. We had alot of strays having kittens couple yrs ago, & the visiting Tom's were out of control. Very sad 2C wat happens when responsibility of desexing isn't been done in time b4 young cats come in2 heat & having babies, were they can. I've found Afew litters of kittens on my door step at times & have always feed them, making it safe 4them & getting human contact, so they can b handled & taken 2 kitten Inn when old enough. Unfortunately on a couple of occasions, oneday there's 4 beautiful healthy kittens getting feed.... The next day GONE... never 2b seen again. I really want 2cry thinking about it. The last family a couple of yrs ago we kept a close eye on. Having help from daughter-in-law while she was helping at SPCA.... getting mother, son, daughter(who had kittens, now has been missing couple mths) all fixed & kittens went 2 kitten Inn.... No longer do we have Tom's crying.... Young female cats being raped & unwanted babies being homeless.... BUT OUR LOVED PET CATS R STILL VANISHING... As a cat owner 50ys I BLOODY WELL KNOW OUR CATS DON'T JUST LEAVE THEIR HOME & DISAPPEAR WITHOUT ANY TRACE. Even road kill leaves a body behind..... I have my own thorts as 2wat has happened 2them & even by whom in my direct neighbourhood.... Unfortunately there is nothing we can do 2protect our cats but keep them inside...
