Upcoming Road Closure Remutaka Hill Road

Please do not forget the upcoming Road Closure this Sunday 10 of April!


State Highway 2 (SH2) over Remutaka Hill will be closed for 1 night from 9 pm Sunday 10 April to 4 am Monday 11 April 2022 to allow crews to safely complete essential maintenance work.

Motorists are advised to plan their travel outside the closure hours. An escorted vehicle service is available for shift workers and others with light vehicles who have no option but to cross Remutaka Hill during the closures.



Bookings are essential as numbers are limited for motorists' safety and should be done by Friday 8 April at customer@capitaljourneys.co.nz

. 12.30 am Hutt to Featherston



. 1.30 am Featherston to Hutt



Access will be available for emergency services throughout the closure.
