Last year, Greytown magician Paul Bates' Tardis-inspired shed was declared the Shed of the Year. This year, Resene and NZ Gardener are once again on the hunt for the country's best shed! Send in the photos and stories behind your man caves, she sheds, clever storage spaces, cute chicken coops and potty potting sheds. The Resene Shed of the Year 2022 winners will receive prizes worth more than $2200. Just tell us in writing why your garden shed is New Zealand's best, and send up to five high-quality photos. Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Featherston Memorial RSA: Music Quiz this Friday
The Featherston Memorial RSA’s next quiz is being hosted by the Featherston Vinyl Club this Friday 20th February.
Put a team together, test your musical knowledge and support the upkeep of the building, and new equipment for the Vinyl Club.
$10 per person, teams of up to six people. Email fstnrsaevents@gmail.com to register your team - please also include your team name.
The FVC DJs will spin some tunes after the Quiz to keep the party going. Non-members and new members welcome.

Builder Wanted or seeking builder (LBP).
We are looking for a semi-retired builder or solo LBP to supervise / co-work with me while I undertake an extension project as a self-build . Rates to be negotiated prior to commencement. Currently in the design stage at present with Architect. I have experience from past house builds so not a raw beginner, both in design and construction.
