Show support for our Muslim community
Let's shine a light on hatred, and show our support for our Muslim community. They must be feeling vulnerable and scared. If we all put a light in our window or turn on fairy lights (mine are still up from Christmas) we can show that our Muslim neighbours have our support, and somewhere safe to go if they are feeling scared. Let's do it in the Wairarapa, and maybe we can start a nationwide thing! (Please feel free to share to social networks, just cut and paste).
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Featherston Memorial RSA: Music Quiz this Friday
The Featherston Memorial RSA’s next quiz is being hosted by the Featherston Vinyl Club this Friday 20th February.
Put a team together, test your musical knowledge and support the upkeep of the building, and new equipment for the Vinyl Club.
$10 per person, teams of up to six people. Email fstnrsaevents@gmail.com to register your team - please also include your team name.
The FVC DJs will spin some tunes after the Quiz to keep the party going. Non-members and new members welcome.

Builder Wanted or seeking builder (LBP).
We are looking for a semi-retired builder or solo LBP to supervise / co-work with me while I undertake an extension project as a self-build . Rates to be negotiated prior to commencement. Currently in the design stage at present with Architect. I have experience from past house builds so not a raw beginner, both in design and construction.
