Septic tank cleaning
Can anyone recommend a business that suctions out septic tanks? I thought I'd found a good one in GT Environmental, but it turns out that they're not willing to dig down to reach the hatch (it's about 400mm underneath soft soil.) Their guy turned up to do the job then just walked away without speaking to us, leaving their office manager to call me to say that the hatch wasn't accessible. She was very nice, don't get me wrong, but I thought the whole point of paying for a service like this was the whole job, not just part of it. Thoughts/suggestions welcome!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
