Afternoon tea with a high tea theme
Excelsior cafe now offers afternoon teas with a high tea theme. Fridays 2.30pm, or Saturday 10am or 2.30pm for groups of 6 to 30 $15 a head for a mixture of sweet and savoury options with a tea or coffee. Contact Sharyn at Excelsior cafe ph 4775455 during business hours to book your group in. Also the venue is available to hire separately for meetings to meals, catering available.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
