Stay True To Yourself Peeps 🦁

Alister from South Dunedin

Hi Neighbours,
Another gorgeous Autumn day for us πŸ‚πŸ in Dunedin 😊. The first time I heard this saying I instantly loved it! In my humble opinion it's a huge source of self-confidence when you live life from principles dear to your heart πŸ’—. Sometimes we don't and we tell ourselves it doesn't matter because "no-one will know". We've just discounted ourselves completely though because there is one person who will know and that is ourselves. Nathanial Brandon's book πŸ“— "The Six Pillars of Self Esteem" set me on a path of personal responsibility that lead to an enormous increase in my self confidence. And those around me began responding in kind. Personal development is a very empowering tool that has given me the courage to live life on my terms. Which reminds me of another saying I heard recently "if the only tool you have is a hammer - every problem is a nail" perhaps less effective ?

Poll: Should we ditch daylight saving? πŸ•°οΈ

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

First introduced in New Zealand in 1927 with the passing of the Summer Time Act, it's what we know as 'Daylight Saving' and this year it ends on the first Sunday in April.

While we do get to sleep in this time around, some people would like to scrap the clock tinkering for good.

And why? Some evidence suggests the time changes are bad for our health as they mess with sleep patterns leading to short-term fatigue and affecting mood. Meanwhile the hour change is frustrating for farmers and a nightmare for getting the littlies to sleep. But what's your take?
