Neighbourhood Food Harvest
Our Food Network: Do you have food in your garden (fruit or veges) and know you won't be able to consume it all? Do you want help to harvest and donate some food to your neighbours and/or local food banks? Do you want to get to know your neighbours and help them harvest any excess food from their own properties? If you answer "yes" to any of these questions then please contact us at:ourfoodnetwork@gmail.com
Our "Ideas into Action Facilitator" (Niki Bould) is busy gathering names and addresses for our database so we can organise volunteers in each neighbourhood to harvest as much food as possible so it doesn't go to waste. We will be running some volunteer workshops soon (on how to make "apple-pickers", how to identify diseases in fruit, and providing some health and safety info) and hope this is a great way for neighbours to meet each other.
