Died at home peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, January 15, 2023, aged 89. Precious wife and soulmate of Max, adored mother and mother-in-law of Ian and Sandra; Al and Jo; Catherine; Duncan and Ange; Nicola and Marc. Passed away in Nelson on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, after a sudden illness. An irreplaceable lady who was treasured by all who knew her, especially her family to whom she was a constant, generous, and gracious champion. Laurel was a wonderful example of how to embrace life in all its fullness with wit, humour and merriment. She will be greatly missed by many. A private cremation will be held.
