Born in Sparta Greece, 26.2.1938, died peacefully Toronto Canada 1.2.2023. Beloved wife of Dr John G. Flannery, (deceased). Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Nereida Flannery, and James and Lynsey Flannery. Dearly loved Yiaya of grand- children, Maremilia, Sharkey and Jack. Loving sister and sister-in-law to Nikos, and Dimitrios and Ruth Gounelas (Greece). Loved and respected sister-in-law of James and Mary Flannery (London), and Michael and Enid Flannery (Wellington).
She brought the Greek sunlight into our lives .
A vivacious life well lived.

GORDON, Ruth Naomi

Known by all as Ruthi, particularly her four precious grandchildren Brodie, Brooke, Mia and Daisy. Passed away peacefully at home on 6th February 2023 with her loving husband Billy at her side. Doting mother to Zoe and Piers, spending countless hours on the sidelines for support, the phone for advice and the kitchen to keep them fed. Forever in our hearts with a glass of chardy and a sharp piece of wit ready to go. Ruthi was always the greatest host and we will all do her proud with a celebration in The Ponatahi in the next fortnight with date TBC.

Dearly beloved husband of the late Joan, and darling husband to Marie. Adored father of Stephen and Lyn, Christopher and Lucy, Keiron and Vicky, Sheryl and Brian, and their families. Peacefully passed away on Saturday 4 February 2023. 95 years young. A private cremation has been held. You are welcome to join the family at the Titahi Bay R.S.A., 74 Main Road, Titahi Bay, Porirua, on Friday 10 February at 11.00am, to share memories and reminisce.

Peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at home, Waikaia surrounded by family; Aged 77 years. Dearly loved Husband of Noeline, loved Dad of Joanne, Lisa and Grant, and a much loved Poppa. A private cremation has been held. A service to celebrate TL’s life will be held in the Waikaia Community Centre, Wylam Street, on Saturday, February 11, at 1.00pm. On Friday, February 3, 2023, at Wairau Hospital. In his 79th year surrounded by his family. Very much loved husband of Eva and loved father and father-in-law of Wayne and Mariska, Joanne, and Andrew (deceased). Loved grandad
of Christopher and Kayla, Shannan, Bradley and Amy; loved grandpa of Chloe. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Susanne, and Beris (deceased), Ian and Susie. On 3rd February 2023, this world lost an angel. Brent Carr (Matua Sensei) will be remembered for his infectious laughter, wisdom, courage and selfless nature.
