Passed away peacefully on Saturday 8 April 2023 at Vincentian Home, Berhampore, after a short health battle. Much loved daughter of Philomena and Patrick, sister to Deirdre, Kathleen, Theresa, Kevin and Maureen. Loved mother of Bridie and proud nana of Raiko and Evangeline. ROACH, Christopher Gary (Chris)

On Sunday 9th April 2023 Chris passed away peacefully with his partner Sharon by his side at Hospice Waikato, Hamilton. Aged 53 years. Devoted partner of Sharon Woodward. Special friend and mentor of Leigh and Marcus. Dearly loved son of John and André, brother of Hamish and Jo, uncle of Damian and Ryan, and brother-in-law of Sandra and Mike. A memorial service to celebrate Chris’ life will be held at 11.30am on Wednesday 12th April in Zenders Café and Venue Centre, 44 Hopkins Road, Newstead, Hamilton. At Invercargill on Sunday, April 9, 2023, aged 81 years. Dearly loved husband of Margaret (nee Treacy), father and father-in-law of Pat and Linda Nyhon, and grandad of Jay and Jenna-Lee, Renee and Michael, and Riki and Alana. Cherished great-grandfather of Eliza, Josie, Buddy, Ava, Lucy and Imogen. Son of the late Frank and Mirla Nyhon, brother and brother-in-law of Ann (deceased), Murray and Gwenda, Denis and Sharlene, and Pat and Janette Treacy. A memorial service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at St Mary, Star of the Sea, in Bluff on Wednesday, April 12, at 11.00am.

On April 7, 2023. Passed away suddenly at home, Ashburton. Aged 90 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Ken. On Sunday 9 April 2023 peacefully in his sleep at Linda Jones Rest Home in his 89th year. Loving husband of Lee for 60 years. Cherished father of Phil and Andrea, father-in-law of Julie and Bruce and loving grandfather of Sean, Alex, Ryan and Emy. Son of Jim and Nan Crawford. Brother of Janet and Linda. Devoted uncle of Heather, Rita and Shelley. Lived life to the full and treated others as he wanted to be treated. In his 80th year, he passed away peacefully on 8th April 2023 at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Napier. Cherished husband of Margaret for 56 years. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of John and Penryhn, Karen and Garth Freeman, Rob and Sue, and Vicky and Graham Morris. Much loved grandfather of Holly and Brandon, Kelsy and Jandy, Luke, Aimee, Patrick, Jack, Sam, Charlie and Olive, Sophia, Tom and Emily and great-grandfather to Toby and Leah. We wish to thank Princess Alexandra Retirement Home for the love and care they gave to Clarrie over the past 5 months. Thanks also to his Parkinson’s specialists, Dr John Bourke of Palmerston North and Dr Shalini Rao of Hastings for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Clarrie’s honour to Parkinson’s NZ. Passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2023, aged 90 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Noeline, loved father and father-in-law of Susan, Debbie and Keith, and Dave and Dianne, treasured Papa of Andrew, Angela, Scott, Mark, James, Nerida, and Samantha and all his great-grandchildren. A Requiem Mass for Frank will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Basilica, Craigie Ave, Timaru on Thursday, April 13, at 11.00am, followed by private cremation.
