WATSON, ElizabethMargaret (Beth)

Died peacefully at home on 8th June 2023, at 72 years, surrounded by the love of her family. Much loved wife and soulmate of Doug and wonderful mother, Bifma, Maha and mother-in-law of Anita, Eloise, Calvin, Kate, Will, Zoe, Ari, Anja and Bryn. A wonderful sister to John Beattie (of Patearoa/Karitane), Ann Howe and Mary Boromeo (of Australia). A very special aunty, cousin and friend to so many. She will be deeply missed. Special thanks to the staff at Te Omanga Hospice in Lower Hutt, your support and care has been exemplary to us and Beth; we’d also like to thank everyone who has looked after and helped our family at this time. A service to celebrate and reflect on her life will be held at Makara Community Hall, 376 Makara Road, Wellington, this Wednesday, 14th June from 14.30, all (including children) are welcome. As Beth was a bright and colourful person who tended to break traditions, we invite you to dress bright for this occasion in her memory. We also invite you to contribute by bringing something from your garden to place on Beth’s shroud.
