ALEXANDER, Marion Frances (nee Therkleson)

On Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Hutt Hospital, peacefully after a short illness and in her 93rd year. Beloved eldest daughter of the late Elizabeth. Very much loved wife and best friend of the late Douglass, for 61 years of marriage. Special Mum to Gordon and Sue, Heather and Alan, Bruce and Kim, Beth, Gregor and Lianne, and Janet (deceased) and Casey. Much loved big sister of Colin (deceased), Edna and Ian. Grandma to Mitchell, Reilly and Jackson; Aunty Marion to the Sage and Therkleson nieces and nephews, and good friend to many, including her lifelong friend Margaret. A long life well lived. The family would like to acknowledge the care, kindness and empathy of staff at Ropata Lodge and Hutt Hospital during Marion’s time with them. In accordance with the family’s wishes a private cremation will be held, with a celebration of Marion’s life to be held at a later date to be advised.
