Passed away on 5th June 2023 at Arohanui Hospice, Palmerston North. Loving husband of Waipuarangi Jean (dec). Son of Wiremu Pehi Katene and Henni Kiri Ka Taueki. Big Tuakana of all his sisters and brothers. Loved father of Diane (Levin), William Barney and Deann (America), Daedre and Tony (Australia), Heeni Kiri Kaa (dec), Niel Nirai (Paraparaumu). Loved by his mokos Charlene Hera Taueki, Winiata and Awhina, Aly and Garth, Angela and Daniel, Mona and Pete, Travis and Jashana, Teresa and Ene, Chiquita and John, Alex and Stephanie, Sylvia and Jess, Billene and Levi, Ngahuia and his great and great-great-mokopuna. A Service for William will be held on Wednesday 7th June (TODAY), at 2.30pm, at The Avenue Crematorium, Avenue North, Levin, followed by ashes interment on Friday 9th June at Amahua Urupa, Gladstone, Wairarapa.
