BATCHELOR, Joy (nee Brown)
Peacefully on May 21, 2023, in Dunedin Hospital with Kaye by her side; aged 93 years. Dearly loved wife and soulmate of the late Frank, beloved sister of the late Jean and Ron Strang (Balclutha), loved daughter of the late John and Ena Brown (Wairuna), beloved mother and best friend of Kaye (Wellington), much loved sister-in-law of the Batchelor Family (Timaru). Joy was the former post-mistress at Brockville, receptionist at Television New Zealand, grew up in South Otago, and she lived in Clinton prior to moving to Dunedin. A Celebration of Joy’s life will be held in Hope and Sons Kennedy Lounge, entrance off Oxford Street, on Friday, May 26, at 11.00am. Messages to 2B Renfrew Street, Balaclava, Dunedin 9011.
