On Saturday, May 20, 2023, unexpectedly, at Christchurch Hospital, aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Janet, and former loved husband of the late Jill. Loved father and father-in-law of Katrina and Scott Criglington, and Joanne and Gary Bourner. Loved Grandad of Brent, and James; and Amy, and Andrew. Beloved step-father of David Johnston and Jane Meech, and their children Hugo, Amy, and Archie; and James Johnston and Vanessa George, and their son Oscar. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held in the Christchurch Transitional Cathedral, 234 Hereford Street, on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 2.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.
