PIERCE, Evelyn June (June) (formerly Hurst)(née Smales)
On May 8, 2023, in her 88th year at Ashburton Hospital. Dearly loved wife and best friend of the late Gerald Pierce, sister of Roger Smales. Proud, devoted, and much loved Gran to Katie (Hurst-Saxton). Dearly loved and sadly missed Mum and mother-in-law of Lynda and Steve (Saxton). Mother of Paul, and John (Hurst), step-mother to Scott, David, and Ben (Pierce). A special Gran to her grandchildren.
Now you can rest in peace Mum.
Special thanks to the staff of Rosebank Rest Home for their care and compassion and to the staff in Ward One at Ashburton Hospital for their outstanding care and assistance. A gathering to remember June be held at Patersons Funeral Services, cnr East & Cox Streets, Ashburton, on Saturday, May 13, commencing at 11.30am.
