DUNMORE, John
Professor Emeritus, Massey University; Companion of the NZ Order of Merit; Officier de la Légion d’honneur; Officier des Palmes Académiques; author, academic and family man. Born 6 August 1923 in France. Beloved husband of the late Joyce and father of Paul and Patricia, in his 100th year. Father-in-law of Grace Dunmore and Kevin Chapman, grandfather of Grace (and Mason), Richard, Jenny (and Lucas), Aeryn and Emma, and great-grandfather of Megan, Casimir and Javin.
A life devoted to family and academia, with service and love. He will be forever missed.
A Requiem Mass will be held at Our Lady of Kapiti, Presentation Way, Paraparaumu, on Friday 5 May 2023 at 10.00am, to be followed by private interment. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the New Zealand Red Cross.
