On Saturday, April 15, 2023, died peacefully at WesleyCare, his home for the past two years. Dearly loved husband of the late Kathleen, and much loved father and father-in-law of Martin and Julianne, Felicity and Pat, Maude, Stephanie and Carl, Anthony and Janene, Chris and Carol, Brendan, and Judith and Raj, and loved grandfather and great-grandfather. Neil lived a long and full life and will be dearly missed by his family, extended family and friends. Special thanks to Wesley Care, the chaplains and Dr Paul Peterson for looking after Dad so well in his final years. The Funeral Mass will take place at St Gregory’s Church, Cotswald Ave, Bishopdale, on Friday, April 21, at 2.00pm, followed by light refreshments at the St Joseph’s Parish Centre, Vagues Rd, Papanui, at 3.30pm. The committal at the Harewood Crematorium will follow at 5.00pm. There will also be a Rosary on the eve of the funeral at 6.00pm on Thursday at St Gregory’s.
