Emeritus Professor in the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences at University College, San Francisco, California, USA. Judith died peacefully, surrounded by friends and NZ family, at Kaiser Medical Centre, San Francisco, after suffering a stroke. Judith, beloved wife of recently deceased Linda S. Mitteness was the daughter of Margaret & Leslie Barker (dec) of Petone, New Zealand. She is survived by her brother, Peter Barker, and his wife Jane McCann, their children David, Amy & her husband Ian Fay and their children Adam, Sophie and Lexi.
