The saying carries the message that someone of mana and of great importance to the tribe has died. Much loved father of Ena, Nikki, and Kire. Loved and treasured grandfather and great-grandfather of all his mokopuna and mokopuna nui. A service to celebrate Maurice’s life will be held in the Academy Funeral Chapel, 65 Main South Road, Upper Riccarton, on Thursday, March 30 at 1.00pm, followed by a burial at the Belfast Cemetery.
