TAYLOR, Ian Chester

Of Waikanae. Left us peacefully on Friday 10th March 2023 at Charles Fleming Retirement Village. Aged 87 years. Treasured brother of Merle and Annetta, beloved husband of Judith Taylor, and cherished father of Helen, Martin, and David. He also embraced Joanne, Katrina, and Renee as his stepdaughters. He adored his nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Ian had a passion for farming, deerstalking, rafting, skydiving, rugby, and road cycling. He also enjoyed being on stage in theatre productions, singing with his beautiful voice, listening to the bagpipes, savouring his porridge every morning, and reading voraciously. He was a true gentleman who touched many lives with his kindness. We will miss him dearly and keep him in our hearts forever.
