Died peacefully on the 17th March 2023 at Atawhai Assisi Home and Hospital, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Maureen. Loved father and father-in-law of Barb, Mary & Maurice, Stephen (deceased) & Liz, Pippa & Noel. Loved Grandfather John of Daniel & Carinda, Hannah, Becky, Simon, Anna, Alistair & Jess, Bernard, and Katie. Great grandfather of Oscar, Charlotte, and Harper. Loved friend of the late Dawn. John’s family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation of the wonderful care given by the staff at Assisi. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday 22 March 2023 at Assisi Chapel, 158 Matangi Road, Hamilton 3284. In lieu of flowers a donation to Assisi would be appreciated.
