On March 11, 2023, peacefully at home while watching his beloved Crusaders, aged 86 years. Dearly loved husband of Joy for almost 60 years. Beloved Papa of Peter, Wayne, and Mason, and Papa Peg of Laken and Sapphire.

Paihau will be resting at Rehua Marae, Springfield Road until his funeral service on Wednesday, March 15, commencing at 10.00am, followed by burial at the Tuahiwi Urupa.
