CREWDSON, Lorna Maria (née Cooney)
Born 20 March 1925, died with dignity and surrounded by love, in Kenepuru Hospital on 8 March 2023, age 97.
An amazing woman, venerated and adored.
Beloved wife of the late Earle, and lynchpin of the family as mother to the late Mark, twins Anthony and Gerard, and daughters Mary and Anne. Respected mother-in-law to Christine, Ted and Paul. Legendary Nana to Patrick, Theresa, Matt, Sarah, Josh, Lauren, Justin and their partners, and Great-Nana to Calvin, Zach and Harry. Cherished kin to the Cooney and Jones whanau, and an influence in the lives of many through her strong Catholic faith. Vigil at St Joseph’s Church, 152 Brougham Street, Mt Victoria, at 6pm on Friday 10 March, followed by a Requiem Mass at St Joseph’s at 11am on Saturday 11 March.
