BELL, Ernest Charles (Ernie)

Peacefully on February 25, 2023, at the Otago Community Hospice, with family by his side; aged 74 years. Dearly loved husband of Lorraine, and the late Carol, much loved Dad and father-in-law of Larry and Rachel, Sally and Chris, Emma and Garry, Charlotte, John and Vanessa, and Dallas, step-father of Debiree and Glenn, Candace and James, and Tim, cherished Grandad of Eden; Ben, Devon, Thomas, Duncan, Simon, Lewis, Leela, Alessio, Tristan, Adele, Rosie, and Paige. Loved son of the late Frank and Joyce, loved brother on Bill, Sonny, Peter, Eileen, Ding, and Lance, and their families. Special thanks to the Otago Community Hospice, St John Ambulance, the District Nurses, Dr Fagen and the Oncology Team, and Dr Sonya Peters, for their love and care. A celebration of Ernie’s life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 10.00am on Thursday, March 2, followed by private burial.
