Peacefully at Hospice Southland on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, aged 90 years. Deeply loved soulmate of Daphne for over 60 years. Loved and respected father and father-in-law of David and Nicky, Rowena and Irwin Black, Alister and Janean, Philip and Deidre. Loved Grandad, Pop, or Gumpy of Alex, and the late Andrew; Jessica, Laura, Anna, Tony; Jack, Georgia, Scott; Tom, and Harriet. A service to celebrate Ian’s life will be held in J Fraser & Sons Chapel, Corner Esk & Doon Streets, Invercargill, on Wednesday, February 8 at 1.30pm, followed by Ian’s interment at the Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be left at the service for St John Ambulance.
