Peacefully at Vincentian Home, Berhampore. Priest of the Archdiocese of Wellington. Dearly loved son of Margaret Carde (nee Leach) and George Ellis Carde. Loved brother of Father Peter Carde (dec), Chris Carde (dec) and Louise Carde, Ivan Snook (dec) and Josie. Loved uncle of his nieces and nephews and his extended family who have so kindly visited him through these last months. He is mourned by us all. Monsignor John’s Requiem Mass will be held at the Church of St Teresa, Karori Road, Karori, Wellington on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, at 11.00am, followed by interment in the Archdiocesan plot at Karori Cemetery. The Vigil will be held at the Home of Compassion, Island Bay on Wednesday evening at 7.00pm.
