In his 91st year. Peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Caring and loving husband of Noeline, blessed and cherished father, father-in-law and stepdad of Carolyn and Peter Staats (Christchurch), Jacqui Irving (Paraparaumu), Claire (dec) and Bob Crooks (Timaru), Helen and Donald McLeod (Timaru), Andrew and Georgie Irving (Leeston), Simon Irving (Timaru), Ashley and Larni Boorer (Dunedin), Simon and Angela (Temuka), Vicki and John Brooks (Timaru), Nigel Boorer (dec) (Temuka), and a loved granddad and great-granddad. John’s life will be celebrated at St John’s Church, 125 Wai-iti Road, Timaru, on Friday, January 27, at 1.30pm, followed by a private cremation.
