Whangaparaoa Veterinary Centre awarded 'best practice' accreditation

Whangaparaoa Veterinary Centre

The New Zealand Veterinary Association’s BEST PRACTICE accreditation programme was set up to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary practice in New Zealand. To celebrate our accreditation, over the coming week all patients will be getting a little present when they come in, even if it is just to say hello. For any queries or appointments ring us on (09) 424 7752.

BEST PRACTICE is currently a voluntary programme, so you know when you choose an accredited clinic, your veterinarians stand by their excellence, because they volunteer to undergo an extensive 4-5 hour audit every two years. Whangaparaoa Veterinary Centre just had their audit last week, passing with flying colours, and are currently the only practice on the Shore with accreditation.

Whangaparaoa Veterinary Centre is located in the Centre of Whangaparaoa, opposite the Plaza, next to the Police Station. With 4 Veterinarians, (Dr Shanti Scott BVSc, Dr Emma Gerber BVSc, Dr Monique Veen DVM, Dr Erin Cassie BVSc) and 7 experienced, qualified Veterinary Nurses, there are always plenty of staff members to see to all the patients coming into the clinic.

All of our staff are very excited about the recognition by the New Zealand Veterinary Association of their continuous superb level of professionalism, care and service to our furry animals on the Hibiscus Coast.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
