Rescued Young Tui needing care.

Linda from Stanmore Bay

Hi Neighbours,
Went for a swim at Whale Cove today and came home with an injured young Tui who was sitting on the rocks looking worse for wear and iinjured in some way. Not sure what is wrong but have been able to get it to take feeds of sugar water from a syringe and is resting in a covered cat cage in a quiet room.
I know there is a bird rescue at Green Bay but wondering if there was anyone a little closer to home that takes care of our "in need" feathered friends??
Any info would be appreciated.
Cheers Linda

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
