A million trees

Communications Team from Auckland Council

Over the past three years, we have undertaken to plant one million mainly native trees and shrubs across Auckland. It was an ambitious undertaking but this year, we will not only hit a million trees mark, but we will also exceed it by one hundred thousand.

By achieving this we have helped make our city a greener and more pleasant place. Join us at our Matariki public planting sessions at Hunua Domain (Sat 18 May), Totara Park (Fri 14 and Sat 15 of June) and Metro Park East in Silverdale (Sun 29 June). Find out more
