Children empowered by sailors' global beach clean ups

School children said they felt like they were helping the planet, when a Dutch couple, sailing round the world on clean energy, visited their school in Golden Bay. The couple are collecting plastic washed up on beaches, and turning it into plant pots. Children at Motupipi School said it was "empowering" to help melt some plastic from a local beach, in the couple's modified solar oven. Does this inspire you?
