Our Curator of Entomology* John Early has discovered a species of bug that has recently established itself in Auckland. The green lacewing is "a beautiful little insect, lovely to behold. It is a pale leaf green with a golden strip down its back and delicate wings that sparkle as it flies in the sunlight," says Early. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
