Poll: Should the speed limit be reduced to 70kmh on rural roads?
A landmark report by an inter-governmental organisation with 59 member countries - including New Zealand - is recommending that rural roads that don't have median barriers should have their speed limits lowered to 70kmh.

From 22 to 26 February, we will be replacing a bridge joint on SH1 Redoubt Road overbridge. Work will take place at night time (9pm to 5am) and there will be a full one- way closure with lane restrictions on the other side.
