Proposed Hornby Menzshed

Marco from Hornby

Just a reminder we have a meeting this Thursday regarding the possibility of setting up a Men's Shed in Hornby. Please SHARE if you can as we really want to get the word out there.

Turning up is not a commitment and we really want anyone slightly interested to come along and find out what is a Menzshed and how do they work. We have the President of NZ Menzshed coming to the meeting who will be able to answer our questions.

The information evening (rather than a meeting) is this Thursday 25th - 7pm start in the Hornby Community Centre (they co-share the Hornby Library building) in Goulding Avenue behind Caltex/Dominoes Pizza etc.

Photo is of a proposed site for the Hornby Menzshed at the Waterloo Business Park

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
