Clap for our Champions at 7pm
You may hear us and wonder, why are they clapping at 7pm? We are clapping to "honour and thank" all those who are working to keep us safe, our frontline health professionals, the supermarket workers and all other essential workers who put themselves at risk for us. Join on Facebook to the group above or just walk out your door and clap. 1 minute of clapping at 7pm. Front door or back door does not matter, however remember the distance rule and you can still wave and talk with your neighbours. Also may just help others who are feeling a bit lonely and isolated.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
