Bird of the Year - Vote Kingfisher to clean up our rivers!
It's Forest & Bird's Bird of the Year competition time again, and we're sponsoring the Kingfisher, or kotare. Now just think about what diving into a polluted Avon or Heathcote river does for the health of our kingfishers! Not much! But if we clean up our rivers, and provide better, cleaner habitat, imagine the increase in birds like kingfishers we'll see in our city.
