Halswell Scouts Quiz Night

Andrea from Aidanfield

We're fundraising to take 32 Scouts and 10 leaders to Jamboree in December 2019. Being held at Mystery Creek, Hamilton, this is a fabulous opportunity for our youth.

We have a Quiz Night on Friday 13 September 7pm at Te Hapua Halswell Library. $15 per ticket, 6 people to a table. Get a table together (or two!), and pit your skills against everyone else. Raffles on the night with gorgeous prizes (think restaurant vouchers, think fish/meat smoker, and heaps more). BYO drinks and nibbles, soft drink and chips will be provided.

Email me at andrea.mears@cdhb.health.nz for details.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
