Centaurus Combined Probus
Just a reminder! The next meeting of the Centaurus Combined (for women and men) Probus will be 1st October, at the Cashmere Club, 50 Colombo St, Beckenham at 2pm. We advise that you come anytime after 1.30pm so that you can be met and introduced to some of the members. If you find that you are feeling a bit isolated or lonely this group offers a great opportunity to meet new people and try new things. We would love to see you there.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
