Homeless woman killed in car park remembered for cheeky nature and striking blue eyes
A terminally ill homeless woman who found a “connection to people” had agreed to re-engage with support services just hours before she was allegedly murdered.
Barbara Campbell, who preferred to be called Rose, made the outside of the old Save Mart shop in New Brighton, Christchurch, her home over recent weeks.
While she was known to be volatile and abusive at times, those who knew and spent time with her say she was a bubbly, cheeky soul who came from a significantly complex upbringing.
