Little Ray of Giving
This Christmas, Ray White Metro will continue its popular tradition of giving with the return of a little Ray of giving.
The inspiring Christmas campaign will see us partnering with Ronald McDonald House to help children and their families who may need a little extra light in their festive season.
We ask all those who are willing to embrace the giving season and dig deep for families in their community who need it most and donate a gift for a deserving child or family member and drop it into our office.
The campaign will officially launch in Australia and New Zealand on 1 December 2016.
This gift drive is a really simple way to help put a smile on the face of children and families who may need some extra cheer at this time of year!
All you need to do is wrap up your present and drop it under the tree at one of our offices below:
Church Corner - Cnr Waimairi & Riccarton Roads, Upper Riccarton
Halswell - 488 Sparks Road, Halswell
Wigram - Unit 4a, 1 Stark Drive, Wigram
Some Choice News!
DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.
Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.
For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.
Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?
We hope this brings a smile!
