School Holiday Robotics Camp
Keeping children meaningfully occupied can be a real challenge — especially during the school break. If you're keen for your child to take their first steps into the exciting world of robotics, I’m hosting a free hands-on robotics workshop on 23rd September at the Upper Riccarton Community Library.
🧠 Kids will get the chance to:
✅ Program real robots using visual, beginner-friendly programming tools
✅ Solve fun, real-world problems using creative thinking
✅ Explore the world of STEM — no prior experience needed!
👧👦 Open to kids aged 8+
💻 Each child will need access to a laptop
📍 Limited to 20 spots — register early to secure your place!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
A riddle to start the festive season 🌲🎁🌟
I'm a fruit. If you take away my first letter, I'm a crime. If you take away my first two letters, I'm an animal. If you take away my first and last letter, I'm a form of music. What am I?
