Christchurch City Council voted on November 26 (after St Albans News went to print) to trial a peak time only bus services in the extra lanes in Cranford St starting sometime in February. So a decision on what will happen to the section of Cranford St from Innes Rd to Berwick St won't be made till sometime in the middle of next year. Options being considered for the section include clearways and making the lane accessible only to high occupancy vehicles (ie: one or more passengers)

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
