What do you think about the teachers' strike? Thousands of Canterbury primary school teachers and principals are striking across the region today.
About 143 primary schools have closed, affecting around 50,000 school children. It's the third in a series of rolling strikes, and even bigger strikes including both primary and secondary school teachers haven't been ruled out yet.
Teachers say the strike action is calling for better pay and working conditions, more learning support, including for children with special needs, and smaller class sizes.
So, do you support the strike action? Or do you think they should have accepted the previous offer? Are you a striking teacher? Or a parent that's been affected by the strike action? Let us know your thoughts in the replies below.

Women enjoy just as much success and job satisfaction as their male colleagues and sometimes leave the guys in their wake.
A great example is Pasifika student Tepora Rokotavo who did a pre-trade course in electrical studies with us at Ara Institute of Canterbury. Tepora achieved 93% in her final exams – an outstanding result – and is now on her way to becoming a qualified electrician. We love helping female students into trades careers.

But should you be able to catch a few Zs in our city's learning centres to kill some time? One security guard doesn't think so – or maybe he was just checking for vital signs.
"I thought I'd just close my eyes for five or 10 minutes. I'd noticed the security guy walking around before that ... he just came over and said 'excuse me, sir, you need to wake up'," library visitor Raymond Lum says.
Should you be able to have a quick snooze in the library if that book is making the eyelids a little heavy?
