What a hidden gem! It was great to get out and about and meet fellow Papanui residents at our Christchurch Northern community Market this morning. Well done to Stephanie and her team for setting up this great community initiative. Well worth a visit. Its on every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. 9am till 2pm at Redwood hotel grounds

Letting everyone know yes we still will be having our market tomorrow due to ground conditions we will have the inside foyer area of the hotel available for stalls, plus the carpark close by for those wishing to still be outside look forward to seeing you all there :)

Christchurch’s 30,000-seat stadium, Te Kaha, has blown its budget by at least another $50 million, Stuff understands.
City councillors will soon have to decide whether they either increase the $533m budget once again, head back to the drawing board or pause the project.
Council staff are refusing to comment on the spiralling costs, saying more information will be available in the coming weeks.
But the council has advised the Treasury of issues with the budget, a spokesperson for the Government department said. Read more here.
