Free 'Slow Ride For New Adult Cyclists' this Saturday from Parklands Reserve.
Our first 2017 Slow Ride For New Adult Cyclists this Saturday 21 January will be a casual affair leaving from Parklands Reserve carpark on Queenspark Dr @ 5pm.
We will cycle through a few parks and some quieter residential streets to improve your cycle confidence.
So get your bike and helmet ready and bring a friend if you can.
More experienced cyclists are welcome on this ride, but it's a slow ride with stops along the way to allow new cyclists to gain confidence cycling on the roads.
Please contact Connie on 021 0277 9250 or GoCycleChristchurch@gmail.com to book one of the 10 free spaces available for new cyclists.
Sometimes all you need is a little confidence to get pedalling ;-)

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? π»π¨π
In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?
What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
-
40.7% The sting of a fine (Money talks!)
-
59.3% The threat of demerit points (Nobody wants to lose their license!)

How much does it cost to join AEA?
There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
