Christchurch is in for a wet 24 hours
Cyclone Debbie is bringing steady rain to Christchurch, so we're setting up temporary pumps as a precaution. The worst of the rain is expected to hit Christchurch this afternoon and overnight.
Council contractors have been out clearing grates, checking pumps and making sure the drainage network is operating as it should. If you spot a blocked or overflowing public street drain you can report it to the Council’s Contact Centre.
