Council Road Marking in Early Hours.
Why is it that we have to put up with the ineptitude of the City Council to plan their work for a more social time of the day. The early hours of this morning (03:30am) I was awoken by a cacophony of noise as the Council Contractors chose to carry out road marking around Sanctuary Gardens. It seems that they can waste their time and money on road marking that was perfectly adequate prior to their early morning escapade. Maybe they should have spent the money more wisely repairing the pavements around the area which are breaking up due to tree roots pushing up the pavement. Did we vote in this council? and they want to increase our rates to pay for their incompetency?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
